  • The For Fun Gallery shows some of the personal papers held in the archive. This initial small collection comes mainly from Lord Archibald Campbell’s papers – Lord Archie was the father of Duke Niall Diarmid, 10th Duke of Argyll, and was a keen antiquarian and artist.

    Giving a graphic account of a painful boil which he was suffering from, including a self-portrait showing his affliction!
